A Survey on Resource Management for Cloud Native Mobile Computing: Opportunities and Challenges

Fifth-generation mobile communication networks (5G)/Beyond 5G (B5G) can achieve higher data rates, more significant connectivity, and lower latency to provide various computing service categories, of which enhanced broadband (eMBB), massive machine-type communications (mMTC), ultra-reliable low (URLLC) are the three extreme cases. A symmetrically balanced mechanism must be considered in advance fit different requirements such a wide variety categories ensure that limited resource capacity has been properly allocated. Therefore, new network architecture with flexibility, dispatchability, symmetrical adaptivity is demanded. The cloud native enables providers build run scalable applications/services highly favored setting, while allocation still preserved. microservice function further accelerate development services 5G/B5G wireless network. In addition, each part handle dedicated service, making overall management easier. There have many research efforts recent literature on topics pertinent native, as containerized provisioning, slicing, automation. However, there some problems challenges ahead addressed. Among them, optimizing for best performance fundamentally crucial given challenge distribution may need symmetry. Thus, this paper will survey computing, focusing issues slicing containerization.
